We Should All Have Babies By 2012

As you all know, Joe LOVES sushi, and I am NOT a fan.... well, thanks to our friend, Kevin Khong, we have discovered a place where both of us can eat happy! I get a noodle bowl while Joey gorges himself on sushi. Its called Sappa.... and its DELICIOUS!!
So... since we knew my dad and Tonya liked sushi (more Tonya than Dad), I thought we would take them there and let them try it out. We had such a blast, it was just the four of us. It was great food and great company, but the "real" entertainment was our waiter.... Kerby.
Kerby is an interesting fellow, he likes the male folks (which I'm totally comfortable with) but not so much Joey and Dad.... he was just hilarious. My favorite person there hands down.
We drank some "average street corner beer" according to Kerby, and had us some "Summer of Love" sushi, which Joey and Tonya really liked. Kerby was full of one-liners, and he was quick to come up with a whitty sarcastic answer.... it was funny watching Dad try to talk to him.
Kerby was so funny we just HAD to get a picture with him. And when we asked, he just scooted right into the booth like it happened to him all the time. He got very cuddly with Joey, as you can see Joey is not too cuddly back with him..

The last thing that Kerby said to us was "You know why we should all have babies by 2012 don't you..... (with an extremely creepy look) so we can eat them...."

Even though we were all a little oobed out by what Kerby had said, the night still ended on a positive note, we all had a great time together, I just love my dad, he is so cute. :) He does so much for Joey and I, this was just a little thing we could do for him. Best Dad ever for sure!

A Great Weekend...

This weekend was sure a great one! It all started Saturday morning at 5:05 a.m. when Joey left with my aunt and uncle, Doug and Sara, for their very first half marathon!! The race started at 7 in the morning, I got there at about 7:30 to get a good spot so I could take lots of pictures (thats why I didn't run, someone had to take pictures ;-p), well the whole world was already there!! The Salt Lake City marathon is one of the biggest races our city has, its such a great thing to see everyone come together.
Joey had told me that he would be done around the 2 hour mark. Since I had been waiting for him for the last 12 hours, I had made friends with the people I was standing by. When I saw Joey's head bobbing up the road I told my new friends he was coming and to start cheering for him. (I took Dad's video camera with me, but he flew by so fast I didn't catch it) He zipped by us and finished in 2 hours 6 minutes! I thanked everyone for their cheering and headed off to find him.
He was so happy when I saw him, he had already wolfed down an apple and a bottle of water. I was so proud that he had done it!

Doug and Sara came shortly after, Doug was so funny, he was so happy he just came right over and hugged us both and starting chatting away. I'm very proud of my uncle and my "aunt". Sara has done wonders for my uncle. We all miss Wendy very very much and she will never be forgotten, but we are very thankful that Doug got the opportunity to meet Sara and bring her into our lives.

After the race, we all went to La Frontera (my favorite) and had a great lunch together!! We were all stuffed by the time we were done. After lunch Sara and I headed off to the salon, I had a few clients and Sara had a massage (Doug was after). It was a great first half of the day!

We have some great friends whom we have not seen in FOREVER!! We finally caught up with them. Ryan and Joe were being sneaky all week and wouldn't tell us what we were doing. It ended up being a great date!!

It started off with a little Costa Vida, and after dinner we went next door the the E Center and saw the Blaze play their second game of the season. We had great seats! We were on the second row about the 40 yard line, we could see the sweat! Poor Ryan wanted a football soo bad and he just couldn't get one, our seats were just too good. He didn't even get a free t shirt that they throw out. But.... the Blaze scored over 50 points so our section got picked for a free Icberg shake so that made him a happy camper.

After the game, Joe and Ryan HAD to get their free shakes, when we were ordering Ryan made sure that the guy knew we had free shake tickets. When we got to the window he kept heckling the employees (through the drive through window) that he was getting free shakes at the Blaze game while they were working on a Saturday night. The night was full of great one liners, and lots of jokes, it was so great seeing them again, and I cant wait until next time!!

To to sum up the weekend, my family went to Applebees for Grandma Pat's birthday dinner. You can always guarentee a great time with the family out to eat, lots of laughs and memories being made. What would we do without great friends and family??

Body Bugg

So my uncle, Doug, and his girlfriend Sara have been using this thing called the Body Bugg. They have lost so much weight, I'm so proud of them!! Recently my Dad's fiance, Tonya, has been using the Body Bugg for about a month now and she looks great! I was talking to my dad the other day about what this thing is all about. He offered to get me one, typical Dad, and I told him I would think about it (they are kind of pricey).
Last weekend, Doug and Sara came to get their hair done, and I was telling them about how Dad offered to get me one. So Sara says, "No need, I have an extra one you can try." So, I think I will give it a try. Joey and I have been working on our "summer looks" and of course he is having no problem, typical boy. We have been working out almost everyday getting in shape together, its working, but I would like to see what this little thing is all about.
So.. that being said, I'm starting the Body Bugg tomorrow, I will keep you update on how it goes!!

Ring Pops and Sisters

This past week Brit and I have been spending lots of time together (which I LOVE). Last Tuesday was an early day at school, so as soon as I was done, I went over to Dad's to hang with Brit. We hung out for a while, we watched Mall Cop (didn't love it) while I updated Joey's ipod that he DESPERATLY needed :)
She had a friend come over for a bit, and after her friend left we went to run some errands together. I had to get some yummy Easter candy for my class Easter party we were having. (Yes, I'm in college and we have class parties) When we were deciding what to get Brit saw some ring pops. She pretty much screamed as she ran to grab them. She loooooves ring pops. It brings back memories of when we were little and we would go to the dollar store with Mom. You could get 4 for a dollar ha ha.
Of course as soon as we got in the car we ate our delish ring pops :)

We went to my house for a while so I could finish up some homework while Brit watched TV. Joey came home and was pleasantly surprised to see her, we chatted a bit until he had to leave for school.

Last Tuesday was Amanda's last day at the salon, so we all decided to get together for dinner at the Spaghetti Factory, Brit was so happy she was able to come. Everyone hadn't seen her for over a week. It was a great time, everyone was excited to see her and of course the food was yummy!!

After dinner I took Brit home, and I couldn't stop thinking how great it was so spend the WHOLE day with her. It has been a while since we have just hung together with nothing really to do. I love my cute little sister :)

It's Not Goodbye... It's See You Later

What does adoption really mean? The dictionary says 'To take into one's family through legal means and raise as one's own child'. I don't think anyone really knows the true meaning of adoption until they have experience it themselves. My family has been through hurdles in our lives that were tough to get over, but these past few months have been the toughest hurdle for all of us.

I have blogged about my family, and have even had a few blogs just mainly about my sister. We are a strong family, even though we are seperated, but were still a family. These past few weeks have brought us together to be even stronger. I can't even explain how strong my sister is. She is my hero, she has been through so much more than I have in her young little life. I look up to her for all of her actions, and her strength. She is a wonderful, selfless, strong willed person who I am proud to say she is my sister. She has blessed two wonderful people with the gift of life, and I know they will be eternally greatful for her. I personally think she could not have picked a better family to give our little baby to make their own.

Little Hayden Jordan Housley was born March 25, 2010 at 2:13 a.m. He weighed 6 pounds 4 ounces, 18 1/4 inches long. He is absolutly perfect. My family, Joey and I had the pleasure of getting to know and be with him for a few days. He doesn't like to be cold, he loves to be wrapped up. He eats sooo much, and he smiles every time he lets out a toot. When he cries it sounds like he is laughing, but he does not cry much, only when he is cold.

I'm looking forward to getting to know Erin and Jordan, Hayden's new parents. We look forward to getting pictures and knowing what they are up to in life with their new little baby. I know he will have a great life with them and get everything he wants, needs and more. He will know that his mommy and daddy love him, and also his angel mommy and all of her family love him just as much.

We love you little Hayden :-)
