Last Day At Joes.....

My official last day of working at Joe Morley's was Friday December 26. I guess you could call it a late Christmas treat. I have been at Joe's a little under 5 years, February would have been the start of the 5th year. And I have to say that I was really sad! It was not a very busy Friday night, but that was okay. Bob got me a cake that said Good Luck Randi on it, it was delicious!

On Monday December 29, Joe Morley's had their Christmas party. The reason they always have theirs late is because they are working all month long cooking for everyone else's Christmas parties, so we're always really busy in December. But anyway.... Brent invited me back for the Christmas party. Little did I know it was going to be a duel party of a Christmas party and a Farewell party for me. It was great! We played games, Brent brought in his Rock Band, Brent made wonderful food! At the end Brent made me come up to the front with him and they all said their goodbyes. They gave me a little gift and told me to open it up in front of everyone..... I was so suprised! They had gotten me a pair of German shears, they are really nice! And they had Good Luck, Randi engraved on one of the shear blades, I almost cried.

It was really sad leaving Joe Morleys, but I know I'm onto bigget better things now. I will always go back and visit... Joey always needs his Morleys fix, oh and they said im always welcome back if i need some quick cash. I didn't realize how much of an impact they had on me, and I will always remember them as great people.

Oh! And I will also be really sad when Annie comes in and I don't get to see her.... because that's the only time I get to see her! But Annie.... I'm just a phone call and a park away.... call me next time and I will come take a little walk with you ;-)

P.S. Pictures are coming soon! I'm writing this blog at work.....

Wedding Update

When Joey first asked me to marry him 5 months ago we thought..... ugh that is SO far away! Everyone kept telling us, "Don't you worry the time will fly you just wait and see." We didn't even believe anyone. But seriously people..... they were right! All of a sudden its only 5 months away! Gosh, Christmas came and past us like a flash and its almost the new year. Now Joey and I have got to start seriously thinking what we want our wedding to be. We have the place picked out and our date (June 16..... you better remember it!) and that's pretty much it!
After the new year, that is when everyone starts having bridal shows. I have 4 picked out so far right now, and I have little buddies for everyone to come with.... I know I'm getting way too into this..... really people its my wedding do you blame me??
But I'm getting so excited, Joey and I are starting to look for a place to live now. We want to be all settled in by the time we get married. That will be one less thing to worry about. I know its going to sneak up on me so fast, but let it because I'm ready to be a Johnson!
Don't worry.... I will keep you updated on everything! If you have any suggestions about anything please let me know, I'm open!

Christmas Eve:

Christmas Eve is over, and I have to say it was a good one. I had to work at the salon today, which I was not too fond of the idea, but i got through it.

I got off work at about 4 and I went to my mom's after, she had made Brit and I yummy Christmas cupcakes. I went to Joe's after and I had dinner with Joey and his family. It hit the spot. Bonnie got all this sandwich stuff and we made huge sandwiches. Then, we all opened up our Christmas jammies.

When we were finished with the jammies Joey and I went to my dad's house. He just got a Wii so Joey brought over all his games and extra conrollers. It was fun, we ate pizza and played the Wii all night long. Joey let me open up my gifts early since we wont be seeing each other until late Christmas night. He got my Wii Fit! So after playing Mario Kart and Super Mario we decided to pull out the Wii Fit. It was so much fun, Brit and I were laughing at him. His Wii Fit age is 43........

Then sadly, Joey had to leave. Him and his parents, his brother and sister with her family all go to breakfast in the morning before they open their gifts. But the night was great, and I had so much fun with Joey and my family. I can't wait to see him tomorrow ;-)

Merry Christmas!

So this year Joey and I were hoping to have our first Christmas together..... but that didn't really work out. He decided to ask me to marry him and then we decided to be a little responsible, or stupid, one of the two..... but anyway, we decided to spend one last Christmas at home. Its okay though because we have a plan and it will all work out!

Next year will be our year and I already can't wait to have our own home with our own little Christmas tree. I think I will go crazy with all of his Christmas gifts becuase I want underneath our little tree to be packed!

Oh well, this year will be great anyway, we will make the last Christmas at home a blowout!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Its Official.

Today I put in my notice for my last 2 weeks at Joe Morleys. I feel its time to move on with my life and further my career as a Cosmetologist. Joe Morleys has treated me so well the last 5 years. Its been a huge part of my life, pretty much the only job I have ever known. I actually got a little sad when I was telling Brent when my last day was.

Since I have been there so long, its sort of my comfort zone. I know the place and the job and I do it well, but I'm glad to be getting on with my life. I'm very excited to try my career full time and see what I can make of myself.

My dad always tells me that I can do whatever I want if I put my mind to it. I want to be successful and show him and everyone else who believe in me that I have that drive. Joe Morleys has taught me so much in the past years. I have gotten more confident, I learned what ethics really meant, and I built up my people skills which I think are great aspects everyone should have.

You watch! Im going to have the most popular Salon/Spa in Utah...... you just wait and see :-)

Joey says that he wants to be a stay at home mom...... without the kids. Go figure.....

Let Me Tell You A Story...

So I was working at Joe Morley's on Thursday, like usual, and it just so happened to be a big night! It really was a series of unfortunate events. Annie came in with her husband, which is always a treat! Love you Annie :-) Anyway, this family came in for their son's big 21st birthday! They brought back this big cake and made me put 21 candles on it and take it out to their table, which I did chancing singeing off my face hairs. They were really nice people..... they had their cake and then left.
About 20 minutes later the mom from that birthday table calls and says, "Hi, we were just in there. We had a birthday party for my son and he left his birthday card on the table." So I replied, "Oh, well let me go look for it, I was your server. "Now, while I was looking, I remembered the son getting a birthday card, but when they left I didnt remember seeing it after the table had been bussed. Hence it was pretty busy so I didn't pay much attention. So I go back to the phone and tell her, "I didn't see the card on the table, I'm sorry." She says, "Well it better be there, there was $100 in it!" So I went back to the bussers and had to get Jake T. to help me becuase I dont speak Spanish. It was a hassle. So we start digging in the garbage........ disgusting. And we find the card envelope and the card..... but no money. During the whole process of digging one of the bussers sliced his finger open on a broken plate and had to get stitches. So I go back to the phone and tell the lady, "We have found the card but there was no money in it." She freaks and starts accusing all of us of being theifs. She says, "My son has Epilepsy and this is the first time he has been out for months becuase he sleeps all the time. And I was not watching what he was doing becuase I was worried about getting the cake home. I then told her that we had been digging through the garbage for her and she didn't even care!
By that time, I had talked to Joe Morley and asked him to deal with the whole situation becuase I was not dealing with her anymore. So Joe goes and talks to her and he comes out and says, "They are coming and they are bringing the cops." DRAMA!!!
So the Dad and one of the sons come, while the Mom is inside the car, and there is this whole ordeal where they were all yelling at each other and we are all just sitting there watching all the commotion. The Dad is accusing everyone of stealing his money and it was just a mess. Finally after a half hour of nothing, Joe Morley pulls out a $100 bill out of his wallet and just GIVES it to the guy! They go outside and after getting his money the man is STILL having a fit.
Finally they get in their car, but they just sit there. And about 5 minutes later the cop comes. Great.
So Joe, Bob, the man and his son are all talking to the cop. They each tell him their side of the story. The cop says to the man, "Let me get this straight. You left your money, which is your responsibility, here in Joe's resteraunt, and he GAVE you $100, and your still here causing porbloms? He didn't have to give you the money and your wasting everyone's time. I would get out of here if I were you." So the guy left, and Joe was out $100 dollars.
I can't believe some poeple! And I bet you that his son had just put the money somewhere is his "Elileptic state" and forgot where he put it. They are going to find the money and they are the kind of people that will not bring back the money that Joe Morley gave them. Its just ridiculous! Ugh, we were all so mad that night..... Really some people are RETARDED!

I Am Thankful For.......

  1. My wonderful parents, and everything they have done for me to give me such a great life. For putting me through school and leading me to be who I am today. To think of myself as a successful talented beautiful young woman, who can do anything if I put my mind to it.
  2. My cute little sister who has helped me through the hard times. She is one of my best friends, and I love her more than I can say.
  3. All my friends, especially the ones from school. I love you girls!
  4. Everyone from both of my jobs, Salon Luxe and Joe Morley's. They have given me great dependable jobs and I couldn't appreciate you more. There have been great memories and friendships made that I will NEVER forget.
  5. And my wonderful fiance, Joey. He has made all my dreams come true. I would be lost without him. He has changed my life for the positive and I will always be thankful every day with him by my side. There is never a dull moment with him, and that is the thing I love the most. He is such a good hearted person and I can't wait to call him my beloved husband.

Packers 29 Saints 51

So my Packers are playing the Saints tonight. And it didn't turn out so good. Sad, I cant believe it. Aaron Rodgers threw 4 interceptoins tonight, I think I can say that he is not having a very good night.

But my new heart throb since my love left me is Aj Hawk, an Ohio State Alumni along with Ryan Pickett, is doing just fine tonight. He is just a big good looking ball of fire, and not to mention his hair is one of my favorite parts :-)

And for those of you who dont know, we have a BYUer on the team! Brady Poppinga. Just a little tid bit for all of you non-Packer fans.

Don't you worry folks, we will come back next week! We will be at home with gool ol' Carolina.

Oh, and have a Happy Thanksgiving, Go Pack!

Memories

I have been trying to clean up my pictures in my computer, putting them in different files and organizing them. So I have been looking through all the pictures and I have found some that I haven't seen since I took them in high school.

Everyone says life flies past you in a heartbeat. I didn't really believe them until after I got out of high school. I always kept thinking, oh i cant wait until i graduate and get on with my life! And now its been almost 3 years, and Joey and I are getting married! Life is full of wonderful things, and I think people should just stop and think about what they have and dont take anything for granted. I know you hear that all the time, but its true. My parents use0d to tell me that every day, and now I know the true meaning of it.

Wednesdays with Brooke and Randi

Oh good old Joe Morleys........ every day is a new adventure:

Angry, weird customers, beef and a Morley everywhere you look. But good thing I have Wednesdays with Brooke. We have a great time, we do beans together, make fun of customers in the back, argue with Nate, we eat fries and we make fun of Chris. Oh, and sometimes, most of the time Nate makes fun of either Brooke or I. Mostly Brooke, but you never know with good ol' Nate. Just this last Wednesday we had a great one. Brooke told me stories of what happened to her during the week. I told her stories that happened to me. We decided to try a fig and we were going to bring one Friday night, but big suprise we both forgot. We were talking about that book, Tuesdays with Morrie, and we decided that we were going to write books of our own. Wednesdays with Brooke and Randi, we think its going to be great :-) We will put it up on here one of these days.....

I just wanted to share how great Wednesdays are at Joe Morleys. We both need someone to keep us going there....... love ya Brookie :-)
This is Jake, one of the Joe Morley All Stars, doing the Hibby Slippy. Go dance night. :0)

Take A Guess??

Guess who this is..... look close. Can you tell who it is? Take another look..........

Have you guessed yet??

Well I will tell you, its Victoria Beckham. She is out of control. She used to be so cute! And now look at her. What is wrong with everyone today? This is who young girls look up to, and this is what is considered "skinny".

She is so skinny there are pictures of her having to hold her up, its ridiculous!

What is going to happen to everyone when women and girls start dying because all they can think about is staying skinny and getting thinner and thinner. I dont weigh 90 pounds and the media considers girls my size "fat".

It makes me so mad!

But I do have to admit I love her Hermes Kelly bag and Louboutin Rolando pumps.... very sheek. Even though she weighs like 10 pounds she is still in style.

Halloween Night :-)

Halloween is such a great holiday! Definatley one of my favorites. Thursday night Joey and I carved pumpkins! And then we backed the seeds which were so yummy!! My pumpkin was the Green Bay Packers and he did the Detroit Lions.

They turned out great! Halloween night..... after my Joe Morleys Halloween we went to a party at our friends Nicole's house.

It was so much fun! We chatted with everyone who we dont see as often as we would like...
We met pregnant Hannah Montana... there is never a dull moment when she is around!

Johnny could not come because sadly he had to work at the hospital.... but Nicole still had a great party!

Overall it was a great Halloween!! I'm sad its already over, but I can't wait until next year!

A Joe Morleys Halloween

Since Halloween ended up on a Friday Joe Morley decided that we should stay open. So we did.... and I think that will not happen again in the future. We all dressed up and we had a contest of the best dressed. It was fun, we ate a ton and had fun together at Joe Morleys on Halloween.....

Halloween!!

Every year, Joe's sister, Jen and her husband Jeff have a Halloween party and its always so much fun! Its the only time of the year that we see all of Jeff's friends, who are absolutley INSANE, but they make the night memorable. This year was a great one!
It took us forever to think of a costume.... and at the last minute we decided CHEAP! We be thuggin.
Ya, he's ICE COLD..............
Ansley was so cute, she was Dorothy. She was a little scared of Matt's costume, but she did alright. She stayed with Grandma that night :-)

Finally 21 And Loving It!!

On October 16, I turned 21! It was great, I had such an awesome day! I spent the whole day with my dad, and we had a blast! Pretty much the best and most expensive birthday ever, but it was so cool.
My dad and I went to Miller Motor Speedway and we did the Mustang Experience, and all I have to say about it is SWEET.

We started off taking this class about how to drive on the track, the speeds and how to take corners and stuff, not too complicated. So then we head onto the track, and there were all the cars lined up waiting for us.
It was so cool. The only thing I was not a fan of was that we had to wear this ugly helmut the whole time.
We were strapped in the car the whole time with the racing seatbelts that trapped you in the seat and you could not go anywhere! But I didn't really mind that.
It was so weird....
it was like I was sitting in my car, but a more powerful faster cooler car! We started off driving 10 laps around the track ourselves, we got to go whatever speed we were comfortable with and it rocked. It was so much fun.
When we finished driving around the track we jumped in the passenger seat with an instructore and they took you around the track twice the way they drive and OH MY GOSH..... it was so cool! I thought I was driving fast, oh no, they would just skid around corners and we were all over the track, it was so cool! And the guy was so comfortable, as he was flying around the track he was asking me all these questions like what I did for a living and how he has been racing since he was like 9 years old, he was really cool. He was British and so funny.
It was such a great time, were totally doing it again next year!
And it doesn't end there! After we took our driving lesson we got back in MY car, which does not seem near as cool as it used to be after driving those sweet suped up ones! Well we got in the car and we drove to Wendover! Ha ha
When we got there we gambled away lots of money, we played the slots and Blackjack. My first game I played I got Blackjack! Ya, and that was the only beginners luck I had. After we gambled for a couple hours we got some lunch and headed home, it was a long day but a great one! One that I will never forget :-)

Family

As you all know, my parents are divorced. They separated when I was in 8th grade, and their divorced was finalized when I graduated high school. It has been a while, so you think that they could put the past behind them and GROW UP right? No.....
Last night Millennial Falls, the place where Joe and I are getting married, had an open house. They had samples of all the food you could get, the desserts, it was fun. You could look around and check the place out. It was fun for the most part. Out parents met each other, which went smoothly. Luckily Joe's parents are still happily married to each other. They all like each other and got along great.
Now my parents on the other hand........ I have no idea what I am going to do for the wedding. They would not even talk to each other. My mom had her new boyfriend, Steve come, and Dad brought Tonya of course. Then my sweet mother had her mom and sister some. So it was Me, Joe, his parents, my parents, Tonya, Steve, Grandma, and my aunt Sherri. I didn't mind that everyone came, but my parents did not even talk to each other! They didn't look at each other, no communication at ALL! The whole night I had this huge case of anxiety that something would go wrong. Nothing went wrong but i wanted them to at least say hi to each other, it was nerve wracking.
I just want them to get along. I'm not saying be best friends, I just want them to be rational together. One time at one of Brit's and my dance competitions they actually said hi to each other. I thought things were getting better...... but no. They have not talked since.
I'm crossing my fingers that my wedding will be great and they will get along and be happy together and talk with one another.
I have like 8 months, but I have a lot of work to do to get those two to get along and BEHAVE!!

Fall Time

Everyone knows that i do NOT like Winter. It snows and its freezing and my car does not like the snow either, but my favorite season of the year is Fall. I love wearing cute jackets and jeans and seeing all the colors of the trees change, its so pretty. Everything about it is so calming, the world looks so pretty and it smells so good. Its sort of like in Spring when you smell the first fresh cut grass and it gets you excited for Summer.
I just love Fall, that means so many fun things are coming up.... my birthday, which is in 6 days might I add, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the best holliday, Christmas! I noticed the leaves changing when Joe and I drove up to Snowbird to go to Octoberfest. It was beautiful!
It seems like Fall is the fastest season, I think Winter pushes its way in way too fast, so enjoy the Fall while you can!

Octoberfest 2008

Its already October, I can't even believe it! Joe has been talking about going to Octoberfest at Snowbird since he heard about it in like June! So we finally went. I was fun, Joe got some beer, it was actually really good. He got a little cheesy mug that says Octoberfest 2008 on it, its cute.

We saw the Winsenreids, I haven't seen them for so long and Joe has never met them before so we chatted with them for a while. We walked around and ate some german food, it was actually really good. i got some chicken that was like an ENTIRE chicken with this cheese sauce on it. I'm not really sure what Joe got, but it was really good anyway!

There were all these little vendors there. There was this certain one that stood out. All the stuff these people were selling were straight from Germany. As we were looking we had this little old lady come up to us and start telling us how the Germans take a shot of whiskey and then chug their beer out of their mugs. Joes parents both were stationed in Germany so he knows all about suff like that so him and the little old lady sat and talked for like 10 minutes about drinking. It was entertaining.

After we got done exploring Octoberfest we went for a walk in the little forrest. We had getton some yummy popcorn, it was my popcorn baby.
We came to this little river and Joe decided to show off and cross it on a little tree that had fallen. He did pretty good going across but coming back he didn't do so well.
In the end it was a great day, we had so much fun together. It had been a long time since we had gone out and done something together just the two of us.

My Little Sister :-)

My sister Britney is the best sister ever! She is such a weirdo but if you know her then you know its totally her! So.... lets get to know her!
She is almost 17 and she is a Junior at Copper Hills High School. Its her first year at Copper Hills, she went to Alta High (Go Hawks!) last year, but then we moved all the way out west right next door to Copper Hills so now of course thats why she goes there.
She tried out for Varsity Cheer and she made it! Here is her team.... she is the farthest on the right........ She has loved being a cheerleader, although it was a sudden thing she did, we were all supprised when she came home one day and said, "I made Varsity Cheer at Copper Hills!"
I love spending time with her, we dont get much time together but we make the most of what we get. We are both very busy girls, I have 2 jobs she has dance and cheer, but we will have a great time together! We are all very proud of her and hope the best for her. She is weird little girl, but that is what makes her Britney, WE LOVE YOU BITTY BOO :-)

We Set A Date!!

So Joe and I have set a date for our wedding..... June 16th at Millennial Falls. Its so beautiful and they have everything there that you need. They have entire packages and its so easy and stress-free! This is the fountain where we are going to be married.......

And this is where the reception is going to be. After the reception, were going to have some dancing, they have a great little cute dance floor.........

I absolutely cant wait, but I know it will go faster than a heartbeat, I just cant think about it too much. But I hope everyone likes it, because I just LOVE it! The first time we walked in, Joe said that this was the place he wanted to get married, and he would not settle for anything else.
